OMNI Institute Award for Contributions to Evaluation
The “OMNI Institute Award for Contributions to Evaluation” recognizes individuals who advance the quality of program evaluation and research efforts in the state of Colorado. The recipients are determined by the OMNI Institute Board of Directors each year.

University of Denver’s Department of Sociology selects a recipient for the OMNI Institute Award for Sociological Contribution in the Area of Public Policy. The Department of Sociology maintains a plaque which resides in the Sociology and Criminology Office which denotes each year’s recipients. OMNI Institute contributes $100 to the recipients.
2007 - Meghan Colombin for her work with "9 to 5" and drafting of an appendix for the Pay Equity Commission Report
2006 - For work investigating prosecutorial discretion

The “OMNI Research Award” was established in 1996 to honor a student in the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work who evidences exemplary understanding of, and commitment to, social work research. This award was initiated by and is funded by OMNI Institute. Selection of the recipient of the OMNI Award is made by the Graduate School of Social Work awards committee upon review of submitted papers. Submitted papers may originate from courses in the research sequence or from other required or elective courses. Submissions may address any or all of the following areas:
Review, evaluation and synthesis of research literature relevant to a social work topic,
Examination, proposal and/or employment of innovative research methods, and
Establishment of links between research and practice
Submissions are judged relative to the following criteria – relevance to social work practice, originality, depth of analysis, clarity, and excellence in writing.
OMNI Institute contributes a $100 cash grant and an appropriate certificate to the recipient at the end each year.
