OMNI staff has extensive experience with the following qualitative methods:
- Focus groups
- In-depth qualitative interviewing
- Case study research combining observational data collection techniques with other qualitative and quantitative methods
- Focused document reviews and content analysis
- Development of sound interview guides and other instruments to support the systematic collection of data
- Use and training in qualitative analysis software packages (e.g., NUD*IST, N-Vivo, Atlas/TI)
The evaluation of The Colorado Trust’s Assets for Colorado Youth Initiative is one example of how several different qualitative methods may be combined to enhance the rigor of the research design and validity of findings.
