Project Links

Projects conducted within this content area have ranged from the evaluation of a statewide, multi-year initiative to promote the asset framework to work focused on the prevention of youth violence, youth suicide and school failure. OMNI also has partnered with research agencies, funders and indirect service providers to strengthen knowledge and evaluation processes in the area of early childhood education and care.

Through this research content area, OMNI has become a state and national leader in the collection of youth-level data through survey, interview and focus group methods. In addition, OMNI has a strong history of applying various theoretical frameworks describing developmental needs and relevant intervention approaches. Major research frameworks that have guided projects within this research content area include the Hawkins and Catalano’s Risk and Protective Factor Framework, Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets and resiliency models.
