OMNI is dedicated to being a socially responsive and responsible company. These values are reflected in the application of research and evaluation expertise to social issues including disproportionate minority confinement, suicide prevention, and capacity building within economically impacted neighborhoods and communities. This commitment to fostering knowledge and understanding for the improvement of social conditions also serves as the impetus for volunteer work carried out by OMNI staff in both their professional and private lives. A number of OMNI employees serve on community boards and give of their time to various organized volunteer efforts.

A portion of the revenues generated through the work of OMNI Institute is used to support the provision of pro bono research and evaluation services to community-based organizations and groups that would otherwise be unable to afford such services. Through these efforts, OMNI hopes to develop the research and evaluation capacity of smaller and/or newly-formed programs and community groups. OMNI also works closely with the staffs of programs to transfer the skills and technology needed to build capacity and improve service delivery.
