Youth Substance Use Implementation Guides: Virginia Statewide
Developed through an extensive statewide needs assessment by OMNI Institute and the Virginia Office of Child and Family Services, these guides offer a roadmap for transforming adolescent substance use services. Each region-specific report pinpoints local strengths and gaps, recommends evidence-based strategies, and highlights best practices and resources for improving prevention, treatment, and recovery support for young people.
By collaborating with local providers, community coalitions, and other stakeholders, OMNI created a series of practical implementation steps that empower regions to address their unique challenges—whether it’s expanding school-based health programs, training new clinicians, or building cross-agency resource networks. Each guide provides targeted strategies, funding ideas, and collaboration tips tailored to local needs—making them essential reading for providers, policymakers, and advocates committed to supporting Virginia’s youth.
