Emily Murillo (she/her) | Director | emurillo@omni.org

Emily Murillo is a Director at OMNI Institute. She provides senior leadership and expertise on numerous complex, mixed-methods, systems-change evaluation projects in our Community Health, Behavioral Health, and Justice practice areas. For example, she has led the evaluation of The Denver Foundation's Elevating Philanthropy in Communities of Color initiative (an exploratory study of resources and supports needed for students of color with disabilities), a statewide behavioral health equity assessment for the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health, and projects exploring disproportionate minority contact in the juvenile justice system with the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice. Her expertise incorporates a focus on equity, and innovative ways to engage community representatives and other vested partners in study design, implementation, and interpretation of research findings. Emily specializes in leading teams that produce impactful, inclusive, and utilization-focused reporting that disseminates project findings and resulting action plans to program funders and policymakers, advisory boards and committees, community members, and program participants.

Prior to joining OMNI, Emily’s diverse professional experience included directing a substance use treatment program as well as programming in school, home, and vocational settings for individuals with disabilities.

Emily is bilingual in English and Spanish and is an expert in designing accessible tools and deliverables that ensure the voices of community members who speak Spanish are heard.
