Startup Support

OMNI provides initial outreach, engagement, convening, and facilitation support to help collaborating groups get off the ground. From establishing group norms to determining voting membership, bylaws, meeting agendas, and cadence, OMNI supports groups whose members already have full-time jobs and do not have time to take on all of the work required to start a group.

Needs Assessment

OMNI has decades of experience collaborating with city, county, and state-level government agencies, systems, and community partners to conduct assessment, prioritization, and planning activities. OMNI utilizes a mixed-methods approach to most needs assessments that leverages secondary indicator data, coupled with primary data collection through survey and key informant interviews to gain a nuanced perspective of trends and needs related to opioid misuse, as well as the existing local resources and gaps. We sequence data collection efforts to build off each prior step in order to streamline the data collection burden while ensuring a comprehensive approach. We are adept at synthesizing large amounts of data into actionable, digestible, and visually appealing deliverables that can provide our clients with the information needed in order to make decisions about priorities for opioid abatement within their community.

Strategic Planning (Strategic, Action/Implementation, and Evaluation Planning

OMNI’s strategic planning is a data-driven process that identifies the most effective strategies to move an organization/group forward toward achieving its goals. Our process utilizes needs and resource assessment data as well as input from key partners and communities involved to develop a comprehensive plan that is both contextually relevant and culturally responsive to the focus population. The planning process engages participants in interactive, participatory conversations designed to surface the priorities, identify strategies, and clarify feasible action steps that are sustainable. In addition, we always include an intentional evaluation framework and plan that helps create a shared understanding of the ways in which progress toward strategic goals will be measured and used to inform future work. The process results in a well-designed plan that serves as a roadmap to guide implementation and set the organization/group up to achieve targeted outcomes while learning along the way.

Implementation Support (Ongoing Facilitation and& Backbone Support)

OMNI provides groups who have successfully outlined their plans with the support to implement these plans and provides ongoing facilitation and backbone support. Many of the opioid planning groups will be in existence for the next 15 years to help utilize the opioid settlement funds. OMNI can provide long-term support through steady and continuous facilitation and coordination of key partners and communities with ongoing meetings, and the backbone support of tracking and monitoring of implementation and action steps, and follow-up to ensure the process doesn’t lose steam and is accountable for the funding.

Evaluation Services

OMNI conducts evaluation activities starting with a clearly articulated plan for assessing whether and how its implementation of the plan is leading to intended outcomes, including accountability metrics to ensure that the strategic plan is meaningful. OMNI’s evaluation can also outline opportunities for learning along the way and the identification of any course corrections that are needed during the three-to-five-year period of its use. Once funding gets distributed, OMNI is able to work with those who receive funding to ensure a balance of the depth and breadth of information collected with resources available for evaluative efforts in order to demonstrate outcomes. OMNI is also skilled at developing evaluation reports to ensure opioid groups are able to show both success in and accountability for spending the opioid funds effectively.
