Project Description
Omni partnered with Patrick County in Virginia to conduct a comprehensive strengths and needs assessment focused on opioid misuse. Drawing from publicly available data, insights from community partners, and interviews with frontline service providers, the assessment captured a nuanced view of the local response landscape. Through meetings with community leaders, the team also gathered critical context and lived expertise. The final report highlights both the community’s existing assets and service gaps across the continuum of care, offering strategic recommendations to guide the potential use of Opioid Settlement Funds.
Strengths within Patrick County's opioid landscape include strong community partnerships, established and engaged service providers, education and training. Areas for need include access to care, transportation, increasing capacity and availability of current service providers, and wraparound services.
