Charles Gilford III

Charles is a proud Colorado native, and serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Inner City Health (ICH), a faith based non-profit clinic on the historic east side of Denver that serves over 30,000 patient visits per year. ICH provides medical, dental, and behavioral health services to the uninsured and underinsured. Their mission is to serve the community through dignity, respect, and access to high quality health care.

Prior to his current role, Charles served as a Mayoral appointee in the City and County of Denver. His scope included being a bridge between the legislative and executive governmental branches, regional partners, operations, and the people. He led projects that impacted $3.65B of capital expenditures, worked to achieve bipartisan results across city/county lines, and drove people centered solutions and efficiency. In his spare time, he serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Denver Housing Authority, is a Trustee of the CU Foundation, Co-Chair of the Judicial Performance Review Commission via Gubernatorial appointment, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission, is a board member for the Civic Center Conservancy, Board Member of Cherry Creek Schools Foundation, is an Assistant Pastor of the Potter’s House ministries in LA, and a few other board roles.

He is a proud CU Boulder alumni where he served as one of the youngest duly-elected student body presidents over-seeing a budget $36M and leading the 34,000 student campus. Charles most of all is a husband, and father of two beautiful children. His hobbies include reading history books, political philosophy, listening to Presidential Primaries, and working with horses on ranches.
