Paola is an accomplished researcher and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) practitioner who brings over a decade of experience at Omni leading equitable evaluation methods to her role as Director of EDI, where she partners with organizational leadership to build an inclusive, equitable culture grounded in both data and lived experience.

About
As the Director of EDI at Omni Institute, Paola’s role focuses on embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into how Omni runs its business and supports its people. In this capacity, she serves as a thought partner to the Co-CEOs and Director of Talent on organizational EDI strategy, advises across the full spectrum of talent management and hiring, and provides mentorship and guidance for Omni's affinity spaces and diverse staff.
Paola brings deep familiarity with Omni's culture and commitments. She previously spent over a decade with Omni, from 2013 to 2024, most recently as Director leading both equitable evaluation practice and EDI efforts. She is an IDI Qualified Administrator and brings expertise in mixed-methods research design, qualitative methods, and equity-focused evaluation across health, community development, and social policy contexts.
Paola holds a PhD and MA in Sociology from the University of Arizona and a BA in Psychology from Georgia State University. Her research background includes extensive work at the intersection of gender, immigration, and social inequity.
Outside of work, Paola is a certified Master Gardener for Pima County, Arizona, where she is passionate about cultivating native plants to support pollinators and restore wildlife habitat. For Paola, caring for the natural environment is an extension of her values around stewardship and community wellbeing. She is also a hobbyist landscape and nature photographer.
