Project Description
Since 2004, Omni has provided training, technical assistance, and community and workgroup engagement and capacity building for communities across Colorado through the Statewide Substance Use Disorder Prevention Coaching Technical Assistance and Training Project, now referred to as the Prevention Change Coach Project.
Funded through the state's Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) and administered by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the project (since its inception) features a team of locally based staff across Colorado with lived experience and strong existing relationships in the regions they serve to provide accessible, customized support with community outreach, coalition development, facilitation, strategic planning, needs assessments, and implementation and evaluation support.
Over 60 counties with coalitions, organizations, and prevention workers have sought out and received services from this two-decades-long project, reflecting our accessibility and broad network to support local communities throughout the state of Colorado. Our staff has numerous established relationships and is adept at building strong connections with local communities to listen and learn about their priorities and best ways to engage partners given local context and culture.
