In July 2022, Archways partnered with Omni to evaluate the effectiveness of the Family Threads program which incorporates best practices from both family support and recovery support fields to serve families navigating substance use challenges, and support its pursuit of an Evidence-Based designation from the New Hampshire Service to Science Program.
Omni brings deep expertise in the evaluation of both Family Strengthening and Support programs and Peer Recovery Support programs, including extensive experience working with Family Resource Centers through program evaluations and technical assistance.
Together, Archways and Omni developed a comprehensive evaluation plan that assessed both short- and intermediate-term program outcomes, aligning with the evaluation requirements necessary to meet the evidence-based designation. Omni’s evaluation found that participants experienced positive changes within the first six months, including improvements in mental health, family relationships, recovery capital, and access to basic needs resources. Many participants made progress towards personal goals and reported feeling more supported and connected. Participants also indicated high satisfaction with the program, with participants noting that Family Threads had a meaningful impact on their lives and their families.
Working closely with Archways staff, Omni developed a rigorous evaluation that not only measured the program’s effectiveness but successfully supported the program in achieving evidence-based designation through New Hampshire’s Service to Science initiative—positioning Family Threads for continued growth, sustainability, and meaningful impact for families impacted by substance use.

The Omni team was professional, competent and a pleasure to work with. Their deep expertise in evaluation of Family Support and Peer Recovery Support was a definite strength in our partnership.
